Can we integrate SPCop with TFS

Dec 4, 2013 at 10:24 AM
Hi All,

It is very glad to know that we have a code analyzer tool for SharePoint development. I just want to know that, can we fully integrate this tool with TFS? I mean can we restrict a developer to check-in the code to TFS on showing up errors/warnings in SPCop result window.

Hi Vijaychander!

Thanks for your feedback!

SPCop is the part of SPCAF Foundation, the free version of the SharePoint Code Analysis Framework.
It contains all rules and the SDK of the commercial product and the SDK to develop your own rules, but is restricted to run only from within Visual Studio on a local machine.

If you would like to run it on during a Team Build on Team Foundation Server/TeamCity or any other build system you require a SPCAF Server license.
Additionally you will also get detailed HTML reports, dependency analysis, metrics and solution documentation.

You can have a look at the feature comparison chart here http://www.spcaf.com/purchase/feature-comparison/

You can find more information about the TeamBuild Integration on the product page and in the documentation.

Best Regards,

Matthias
